Hi all

thanx for the Info

this issue been resolved as we have transported the MP without DSO from the DEV sys to QA system

that was replaced the Existing MP in QA with New Changes which contains only the Cubes.

thanks for your valuable info

Hi Rajesh,

For specific cases, you can do changes directly in QAS or PRD system.

For that go to Tcode - SCC4,

click change mode and

double click your BW QAS client.

select below 2 options and save.

than go to RSA1 and change the Multiprovider. It will work.

Thanks,

Balaram

Dear Rajesh

Another thought is to collect the MP in the Testing system in a transport (still you may have to make the system modifiable). Copy the cofile/datafile and move it to dev system.

You can avoid recreating the MP again in dev

hi experts,

thanks for the Answers,

actually that DSO doesn't existing in the DEV and PROD only in QA.

so we dont want this to be In QA and want Multiprovider same as in DEV and PROD systems.

but in QA only we have this DSO.

Hi,

Take TL and PM approval to have access rights(with help of basis team) on quality server and delete the dso.

future onwards, always do developments at dev and move transport to targets systems(Qa and prod)

Thanks

Hi Rajesh,

Recommendation is that DEV-QA-PRD shud be in SYNC.

So as suggest by RK,either open the system and remove the DSO or Collect the MP and Transport to QA so that the MP is overwritten with onnly two cubes and you have DEV and QA in SYNC.

Hi Rajesh,

As per my understanding, you have developed one multiprovider and the same move to Qty and productioin.  Now, you want to delete  / modify DSO in multiprovider.  When you try to delete DSO in multiprovider in QA system, you got error " SAP system status not modifiable ".

Steps:

1) All object whatever you have created in dev system.  Once you have created, you transport the same to QA and Prod system.

2) Now, you want to delete DSO, the deletion is not possible in QA system.  Whatever activty which you doing, you should do only Dev system.

3) Come to Dev system and delete / re-modify the DSO in Dev system and while activating object it ask the request.  So collect the changes whatever and net Transport request id.

4) Please transport the same request to QA and Production system

5) Once request import in QA and Prod system, please check what changes you have done on QA system.

Hi Rajesh,

Three Options.

  • As told by other friends,we have to change it in Development and move it to Quality.
  • Though not recommeded to do it in QA,we have to open the client in QA and then do the changes.
  • Usually queries are changeable in QA,just go to Query Designer and Restrict the 2 cubes in the Infoprovider.Such that data will be extracted from only those to Cubes.

Hi Rajesh,

The system is now closed for modification that is the reason you are getting this messgae. There are two ways to modify the Multiprovider,

1.Change the object in Development system and transport it to QA

2.Request your Basis team to Open the system and then do your changes in QA itself/ use fire fighter access to do the changes directly in QA

Hi Rajesh,

At Quality system you can't change  any settings manually(Not authorised to create or delete or change). if you need any changes need to do at dev system and transport to quality system.

You can delete at dso and move the changes to quality server.

This is SAP Standards.

Thanks

Dear Rajesh

Hope this MP was created during initial stage of implementation when QA system would have been open for modifications.

Now that the client is closed for any modification, you should replicate the MP in dev system and then move it to QA system. That should be the correct procedure to do it.
