Cost centre to be automatically fetched from MO in MIGO

Dear Experts,

I have a requirement wherein I need to have cost centre automatically fetched in MIGO when I input the Maintenance order.

The combination in MIGO that is being used is Goods issue + Others +261 (movement type) .

So for this combination I have field to input maintenance order , cost centre , GL account in the Account assignment tab.

I am looking for some configuration through which the cost centre will get fetched from the maintenance order automatically and I do not need to input the cost centre manually.

Please help.

Regards,

Anamica

If you are issue material against MO, movement type 261 will be derived. After MO settlement cost will be settled against cost center (if cost center maintained in Settlement Rule).

Don't see any need of updating cost center while 261 movement. Pl cross check with your finance / CO person.

I have to include the maintenance order in the transaction, so cannot do 201 movement as it does not include the maintenance order number field.

In OLMB also, I can either make the field optional entry or mandatory entry. This does not solve my purpose.

I want cost centre to get automatically picked from the maintenance order when I input the maintenance order number .

    Hi Anamica,

In transaction OLMB-> settings for enjoy transactions->settings for goods movement (MIGO)-> field selection per movement type..

    Enter your movement type-261.

Field name for cost center is KOSTL.

Make KOSTL field as required entry, in order to enter cost center manually along with MO and G/L account during MIGO.

I dont think you can get cost center automatically through MO. By some enhancement may be you can get it automatically...

    Regards,

    Subbu.

Just by customizing you will not achieve your goal, you need to do some ABAP coding in a exit or BAdI to make it happen.

Have you tried it manually? is the expected result as you want it to be?

A 261 movement is a movement in reference to an order. if you never settle the order, then you may create other issues in your process that you may not think about today.

A movement can usually only have one account assignment. Referencing an order and as well a cost center is a bit like diving with a towel to keep you dry under water.

    Hi,

When you do issue using mvt 261, expense will be booked against order. Then why you need to enter cost center? You can give cost center at the time of order settlement.

    Sudeep.
