Data Source Name not showing in UDT

Hie Guys,

I am using UDT 4.0 to create a Universe from "XYZ" Connection. The connection is being displayed in the list of "Data Source Name" (DSN) in Crystal Reports. However, it is not showing up in the list of connections in UDT. Any idea on what could be the issue? I've attached the snapshots of both environments below. Thanks.

Before you can start building any universe using UDT you will have to create a new connection which is specific to the UDT itself. While creating a connection you will have to specify the driver and database detail and then it will prompt the DSN that can be used based on the selected driver/database.

But crystal can directly connect to the database using native driver .. So while opening connection in crystal you see the DSN but using the UDT you only see the connection that are created in UDT (it could have used the same DSN for connection but is having a different name) and published into repository.

Check the below doc for how you should approach in creating a connection in UDT.Although this doc is built for BOXI 3.1 but its valid for BI 4.0 as well..
