GR/IR account balance is not Zero in PO history

Hello Experts

I have this scenario where we have entered the invoice before Gr hence the Po value has changed and then when reversed it has different value there after we entered the correct value however the GR/IR balance in PO history still show here. So in short we messed up

We knew what happended and triggered this.

My question how do we clear this now since the posting period is in past and its closed. particularly when we reversed Goods reciept it reversed with amount 3494.76 instead of 6451.10? how do we balance this?

so how do we correct thsi to make it zero?

Any help will be apriciated SAP MM

    Hi,

    Check report with t.code:MB5S and if difference between GR/IR clearings account in GR and IV, then use t.code: MR11 for GR/IR Clearing Account Maintenance.

      Thanks for yr replay . From beginning itself we are not runned the program.

      We are doing GR based Invoice verification .

      Whether executing MR11 is optional or we must to do?

      could you please share me the best practice method...

    Hi..

    If you use moving average price, you can meet this problem.

    You should reverse all transactions which are occurred after goods receipt in reverse order to avoid this problem.

    Despite of reversing documents, the case that the balance is non-zero is sometimes.

    How you have cancelled the 102 document?

    Is it reference of 101 document?

    • Normally, when you have posted GR, the amount 6451.10 is credited in GR/IR balance account.

      When you cancelled the GR then the amount 6451.10 should debited into GR/IR balance account.

      But here, I suppose after GR from any transaction someone must debit the GR/IR amount for 2956.34, that's because when you have done cancellation, the rest amount 3494.76 is debited to GR/IR account.

      Have you checked MB5S for GR/IR balance.

    Hi Prasad,

    Entry is not hangout one side ! Check all line items like vendor ,material and GRIR clearing account. It should be hangout that balances in 2 accounts either Vendor and GRIR or GRIR and Materials.

    Check credit note option MIRO ,which will help you adjust the same balances and run F.13 or else clear manually F-03
