Hi Everyone,
I wanted to ask a question...don't know whether is it possible or not.
i have a report in web i,which i have published in launch pad. the report usually takes 50+ seconds to refresh (big report). The report have some dimensions on filter bar, now when ever i am selecting any values from the filter bars in order to filter it in the output...all the key figures needs #refresh ; making me to refresh the report again for 50+ seconds...is there any way it can be flexible enough so when i select any options from filter bar and the key figures should appear..?
Because i cannot forward it to my directors or managers as they will not wait 50+ seconds every time they are selecting any option from filter bar.
My BO version is 4.0 SP6.
Please Advise.
Hi Nayab ,
I assume you are using the OLAP connections?
if yes , can you check by adding the same objects in the filter in table .
Check query stripping is enable ,if yes deactivate and check.

Do you mean Input control when you mention filter bat?
Please make sure you do not use database delegated measure rather use a regular aggregation with a valid project function defined in universe for the measure..
This issue happens when the measures are defined as database delegated..

I will try defining the functions on measure from universe level.
I also came across one thread were the person have a solution for this issue as in 4.0 SP4, were he asked to refer a note, applying that note he got an option to avoid #refresh...i tried opening that note but is giving message that note not released yet...plus i checked in CMC > application > web i, that option to avoid refresh is not available...
Hi Nayab,
the auto-refresh feature available in BI 4.1 simply refreshes the document for you when needed, meaning that after your initial 50 seconds wait, another 50 seconds will come after a change of the filter.
I would rather not change the aggregation of key figures in the universe away from database delegated, while it seems to make the #torefresh go away, your data will probably not match anymore (as there is a reason why database delegated exist).
Best regards,
Victor
Hi Victor,
as per your previous thread, you have mentioned that there is some note needs to be implemented, after which there will be an option were we can avoid #refresh thing. this scenario you have mentioned for BO4.0 SP4 ?
here is the link for your thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/2147021
Also i tried opening that note..but the message displayed that it has not been released yet.
