Hello everyone,

Im trying to deploy on EP via NWDI

System-Specs:

EP = 7.00 SP14 (Win2K3_x86 - MSSQL)

NWDI = 7.00-SP29 (RHEL6 - Oracle)

System settings:

1. NWDI-Track configured.

2. Runtime-System (EP) mentioned in track along with port and password

3. Check-out and Check-in are inplace and functional

4. Direct SDM-Login functional

5. SDM-Timeout settings for NWDI configured to 60 min.

6. On the Runtime-System (EP) SDM-Timeout :

detached the SDM and changed the Time to 3600000(i.e.,60min)

Integrated again and started the whole system.

7. TCSDeployerTrace : Severity Error

Symptoms:

Before the deployment process starts the SDAs are added.

The list of SDA to be deployed is also shown in logs.

Then i get the following error in LOG

On the runtime system the SDM log shows the following

As usual something is still missing in this puzzle

Hope that the description was precise enough and someone can help me out of this mess.

Regards,

Haroon

Hello Haroon,

could you please check whether you can see any suspicious in the logs you find normally under:

/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/TCS/LOG/*

For others who might encounter similar problems

5th Point under settings was implemented according to

1144877 - Connection between SDM client and server is broken

6th Point as per :

739190 - Timeout when starting or stopping the J2EE engine

7th Point for Trace-Settings was taken from

SAP Library - SAP NetWeaver? Problem Analysis Guide (PAG)

Might help some way or the other

Hi,

can you please tell me the exact version of NWDI ?

You can get it from

http://<host>:<port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo

and then send the lines starting with DI_*.

You also said that the direct login to SDM is fine, but can you confirm whether the CMS can also properly connect to the deployer (SDM) ?

You can test it this way:

(NWDI)(CMS)Q0002 - Technology Troubleshooting Guide - SCN Wiki

Thank you and Regards,

Ervin

Thanks Ervin,

Here is the NWDI Version:

And the credentials are also intact.

As per timestamp i could figure out that the deployment starts and after about 12 minutes this error pops up. Do i need to extend the timeouts again?

Haroon

Hi Ervin,

i finally figured out the problem. It wasnt the settings that messed up the whole situation. It was a virus scanner on Portal-Machine (Windows). After disabling the scanner i could finally deploy.

I appreciate your help on this one and for many other contributions that you made with respect to NWDI because on my way to this setup i encountered many problems that were adressed by you. That way i finally got the opportunity to thank you.

Regards,

Haroon
