Adding Compounded object in MultiProvider

Hi Experts,

I have few cubes where the 0material as well as 0Plant is well maintained.

Now I need to add a ZMAT_PLANT (new infoobject - where material is compounded with plant) to these cubes. ZMAT_PLANTis having few attribute fileds coming from some non SAP system based on plant - Material. So single material can have multiple attr values based on the plant.

I am thinking of adding this new infoobject ZMAT_PLANT into multi provider which is having original cube to get those ZMAT_PLANT attributes in the report.

Qu 1  : Am I on right track.

Qu 2 : If yes above, how will be the assignment, like I can assign only 0material with ZMAT_PLANT, what abt PLANT ?

Qu 3 : if no, any other easy way to do it, except reloading after adding into cube

Please help.

Thank-You.

Regards,

VB

Hello, 1. It is necessary that you add to this hub and zmat_plant mapped transformation rules 2. If zmat_plant load from a different source, it is not possible that it can assign 0material because objects are not the same. 3. Reprocess the information will need to reload zmat_plant. Hope that helps.

Hi

I don't see another option except reloading the data and do a proper mapping of 0lant and 0material to ZMAT_PLANT in order to get your new attributes.

hope that clarifies

Dear VB,

1) No, By just adding the zmat_plant in the multiprovider it will not work. You will have to add Zmat_plant in the underlying cube also and map it with same source field which you are using for 0material.

2) You cannot assign 0material with zmat_plant in the multiprovider as they are different fields.

3) Reloading of data is the only option or you might have to go for only prospective data. Data Remodelling can be an option
