Issue in transporting transformation

Former Member

Hi,

We are on BW 7.3 Sp 9 and when moving a existing transformation with a minor change (commented a code in start routine) from our Dev system to Q by capturing it in Transport. The transport goes with  RC=8 saying error in transformation but the transformation is active in the target system. We checked in the RSTRAN table for that Transformation in the Target system and the OBVERS in M is having the latest changed on date, whereas the version A is reflecting the old change. We have tried re-importing with overwrite original option but it didnt help.

We tried re-collecting the transformation by reverting the change back to original then also it fails. Has anyone come across similar issue? kindly help.

Hi Merlin,

Check your transformation using program RSTRAN_ROUT_RSFO_CHECK. And again transport that transformation and DTP in new TR.

Hi Merlin,

We had come across this issue and despite transporting it 3-4 times we were not able to activate the transformation nor load data evn if it was active.

What we did was we deleted one entry in one of the back end tables and ReImported the Request and it worked.

Hi Merlin,

Please check below Snote in your BI system.

Note 1377567 - Handling of RSTRAN401 as an error in the transport

Note 1377342 - Check for consistency of transformations in the transport

Note 1145554 - BI7.0 (SP 18) OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED during transport

Note 1412414 - (SP24) Content is not generated/transport errors

In fresh TR again collect that error transformation along with its relevant DTP. Also make sure all the required objects in ur transformation are available in target system.

Hi

I have already given the error screen shot.

I have recollected the objects (source, target DSO and look-up master data object) several time now but

ended with same error.

Can you try this:

Double click on that particular transformation--Extras from top menu--Display generated program--Hit Activate.

After this collect it again and try importing it again.

See if this works or not.

Hi,

While seeing the error screen shot transformation not active status and transportation have overwrite functionality.

before doing transformation all object should be active status.

check the TR consistence.

other wise re import again same.

Thanks,

KV.

I see this issue with only this transport.

I have attached the screen shot of the error.

This was a existing transformation, the only change was commenting a code in start routine.

Hi

Have you done a syntax check of the transformation in DEV before you transported it?

Hi,

Other this transport are you facing any issues while transporting?

Please check table - RSLOGSYSMAP(source and target server) may have proper source and target system entries.

Thanks
