Fixed lot size & Alt item Group

Hi Gurus

I have a doubt regarding Fixed lot size and Alt item Grp.

The scenario is as follows

Header Material = A. Components B & C.

For each A, B=1 and c=1

BOM Components B & C have Alt Item Grp set as 70% and 30% respectively.

PIR for header is 10 on a particular date (say 9th Jan)

Header Material A has fixed lot size indicator on and Fx qty = 1.

Now if I run MD02 for A and check in MD04, I get 10 No.s planned order and a Pur req/planned order for 10 qty each of B and C respectively.

But my objective is to get 10 individual planned orders for A and pur req/planned order for B & C for 7 and 3 qty respectively

Please suggest if this possible

Your expectation is quite fair.

May I know what exactly you have maintained in the alternative group details for the components?

Also let me know what MRP data have you maintained for the components?

Alt Item grp  settings : Priority = 1, Strategy = 1, Usage prob = 70% & 30% (For B & C Respectively)

MRP type of components = PD

Lot size of components = EX

Procurement type (components) = F

Do you need any other data?

Hello Pradeep,

Your settings seem to be in place & look fine.

You should get the desired results.

I only suspect that the unit of B & C might be creating problem.

If it's unit like EA or PC then for decimal quantity it rounds off. For ex. for system proposed quantity of 0.7 EA it rounds off to 1 EA. What's your UOM for B & C? Check settings for UOM in T code CUNI.

Apart from this I don't find any issue with all your data. I tested the same with your data in my system & I am getting exact result what you expect.

Also check ind/ollect Indicator in MRP4 view for B & C.

I am still not able to get the desired output.

Ind/collect indicator is set as 2

In UOM (CUNI), what do you suggest I should change.

Please find attached the screen shot of CUNI of EA.

Is it decimal place rounding?
