    Hi Sagar,

Let's try this SAP note 202687 - OB29: FGV(600)/FGV(602) in fiscal year veriant maintenance.

    Symptom

When you navigate from the screen 'Change / display fiscal year variants' during maintenance of the fiscal year variants, the system issues error messages that do not refer to the fiscal year variant that you currently selected. For example, the system isssues error message FGV600 "Periods cannot be maintd for calendar-dependent financial year variants" although you have selected a year-specific fiscal year variant.

    Additional key words

    OB29, GVART009, FGV602

    Cause and prerequisites

The problem is caused by a program error that only occurs as of Release 4.6A.

    Hi Sagar,

There are two type of Fiscal year in SAP 1) Calender Dependent 2) Year dependent

    1) Calender Dependent: means normal year year, from January to December financial year,

Here system will not allow you to maintain any period due to flagged on check box. Check T-code OB29

    2) Year Dependent: Means days of each period will not be equal for every year.

You can maintain your period according to your business requirement.

You can maintain period only for the FYV AA as per the above screenshot.

    Regards,

    Kalim

    Hi Sagar,

As per SAP standard ,above message is correct. Why do you want to maintain the periods ,if you select the calender year check box in OB29 for your variant. Please note if it is year depended you must maintain the periods.

    Hi Sagar,

    I agree with Md Kalim.

When you mentioned that it is calendar year dependent, it means that your company codes with have the periods starting and ending as per the months in a calendar (ie Jan as 1st period, Feb as 2nd period, ......) and therefore no further periods can be maintained or required to be maintained.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck.

    Regards,

    Praveen.
