Crystal Reports not printing on Windows 8

I have a Visual Studio application (2012) which has been complied for .net 3.5 framework. When the application is running on Windows 8 PC, when I try to open a report to show in report viewer I get the error: 'The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' threw an exception' shows. The same application running on XP (32bit) and on a windows 7 (64bit) PC works fine.

I installed the latest Crystal 13.0.8.msi.

The rpt files are accessible.

Anyone have any suggestions

    Hi Pete,

Did you set your app to x86 mode also?

Are you using Windows 8.1? Note supported until SP 9

Either you have missing dependencies or permission problems. Try right clicking on your EXE and selecting Run as Administrator.

Try Process Monitor and look for access denied or missing files.
