I recently tried to purchase a license and was told ADS is no longer available, is this true ?

I apologize for your frustration with ordering ADS.  We at SAP did not know you were having these issues so thank you from bringing them to our attention.  I have contacted the Sales Reps in the UK to contact you immediately.  Once again I apologize for the issues.  ADS is still going strong but there appears in this case to have been some transition issues with your accounts.

Thanks for offering help.  Aeronaut is an ADS reseller covering New Zealand and Australia but they can't sell into the UK.  We have a direct channel in the UK.

Our purchasing issues are all now resolved, it appears the ads uk sales rep is off on long term sick leave hence the initial problems.

John if you haven't already you can try contacting terence.sweeney@sap.com who should be able to assist.

The sales force behind this product is terrible, in fact as far as I can tell there isn't one !

We are based in the UK and despite numerous emails and phone calls to Sap UK and Sap US I can get no where, no one in their own offices  has ever heard of this product !

Despite repeat promises and call backs to different offices and departments they never happen.

I really think advantage has been dropped. Such a shame as functionally its a superb product but that's no use if we can't readily purchase it.... its nuts.

We need (did?) to purchase several server engines, etc. as technically ads really suits our requirements.

I am  now forced into a painful decision of whether to swap out ads and integrate with something else all because we simply can not purchase this product.

We don't want to as it will amount to a large amount of extra work but we are currently stuffed, we have our customers asking for user count upgrades etc which we can not supply.

Very unimpressed.

We're in the UK and in the same position as Mark Cole, wanting to buy licenses but unable to get any response from the SAP team in Germany.

We have been emailing Roberto (our new sales contact) all week but had absolutely no response and unable to get him on the phone.

Having invested years of development in ADS it will be a catastrophe for my business if we can't buy the excellent ADS product.

Can we please have some help.

I was unaware we could purchase ADS from any other reseller.  We'll buy from anyone who's willing to take and fulfill our orders.

Hi John,

Sounds like we are both in exactly the same position.

We too have invested years in developing applications that integrate with ads.

It seems crazy that we may have to consider purchasing from Australia but if that's the case fine.

The ads product is superb and the technical team still seem to be quite active, releasing new versions etc. Its a real shame there is not a simple straight forward route to purchase.

Hopefully someone at SAP will stumble over this thread and sort something soon.

This is definitely not true.  Advantage is still being developed, supported, and sold.

Where are you located and I will get a sales rep to call immediately.
