Incorect cost estimation in ck11n

Hello SAP CO specialist!

I have problem with cost estimation in product cost controlling (ck11N) for all products.

Generally in my company we use two Costing Variants:

ZP00 – is used for standard cost estimation once on the beginning of the year and then new prices are updated (CK24).

ZP01 – is used for calculation actual cost month by month based on actual raw material prices - without price update(CK24) only for statistical reasons

All settings details for these two costing variants (valuation variants, transfer control, date control) are this same – of course except price update settings.

There are 4 plants 5001, 5002, 5003 and 5004. Only 5001 and 5002 produce products. Mentioned costing variants used transfer control – during cost estimation of particular product, origin estimations (saved estimation with this same costing variant) are copied from plant where this product is produced

The problem:

It would be easier to explain that with the use of example.

Product X is produced in plant 5002. During cost estimation run with CV ZP01 for plant 5002 result is 500 and it is correct (based on actual raw material prices) but during cost estimation run with CV ZP01 for plant 5001 or 5003 or 5004 result is 450 and it is equal to standard cost estimation of this product (Costing Variant ZP00). Result of this cost estimation for plant 5001 CV ZP01 should be equal to cost estimation for plant 5002 CV ZP01. So generally problem is that estimation results are transferred from different costing variant. This problem exists for all products and appeared recently - so far cost estimation works properly for ZP01 and ZP00. There weren’t any changes in customization for product costing since 2009.

Could you help me with this problem – maybe some of you already come across such a problem.

I will be grateful for any suggestions or ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Rafal

P.S.

I have attached screens from OKKM transaction – configuration of transfer control

    Hi Rafal

What you did is wrong... The transfer control transfers the existing released cost estimate, if any... Hence, the system is transferring 450, costed from ZP00

I think the config specified by Big Choi will work... You should give it a try

    Hi Rafal,

I think you are expecting the price of 500 (from plant 5002) to flow to other plants.

You mentioned ZP01 is for statistical purpose and no update is done. However I think you perform marking (not release) while costing ZP01....assuming this because in transfer control you mentioned future standard cost.

So check if marking step is performed in plant 5001? or just left with costing step without performing marking. I think price flows after marking is done.

    Thanks.

    Hi..

You should create new transfer control for ZP01 variant and assign it to ZP01 variant as below picture.
