derivation of commitment Item in reservation automatically

Dear Expertise

In spite of activating fund management and have the derivation rules based on valuation class or material number to read the commitment Item automatically, the commitment Item has been set as mandatory field for movement type 201 and the GL account related to the materials.  when creating a reservation in MB21, the system doesn't derive the commitment item for the material which was selected and need to select manually. but we want it to be derived. how can I solve this problem?

I will appreciate any kind of guide.

Hi,

MB21 will not check any budget. Also, there will not be any commitment created for reservation, in FM. There will not be any FM derivation during reservation. This is standard SAP behavior. You can create suitable derivation rule (based on G/L) so that it will be derived during Goods Issue.

You may keep Fund, fund center and commitment item as optional in reservation, if its set as mandatory.

I should have the FM fields in the reservation because the good issues are creating based on reservation only and the FM fields will not be derived in the migo.

I have the commitment Item and fund center field as optional in the G004 and movement type(201). and we made a derivation rule for valuation class and commitment item. in the reservation when I insert the first material, its commitment item that is assigned to its valuation class, comes in the header and  it will copy for any other material in the subsequent items. but every material has different valuation class and should be different commitment items.

what should I do now?

Actually the commitment Item and the fund center is mandatory for the GL accounts of the materials. So I have the field selection error if they are not mandatory.

Would you please guide me what to do!
