Message no. IM258, Object does not exist (status management)

Hi,

We faced a issue in opening a Notification. We received a Error, Object does not exist (status management) Message no. IM258.

We applied the Note 437878 - Status data missing for PM/CS notifications, by running the report ZPMNOT_STATUS01.

Can any one give us reasons and cause of the Error Object does not exist (status management) Message no. IM258 in Notification.

There is no specific reason, it seems. It can happen when there is an inconsistencies in status across tables.

These can happen by any means of Business transactions.

This is happen due to inconsistencies in status tables and inconsistencies in status tables happen due to Some User exists implemented in Notification.

Check whether any user exits or enhancement done for Notification.

You can also check the date when you have applied the changes in user status and creation/change date of notification.
