set default lifetime period/interval on folder for all documents

Hi,

We make use of the document lifetime service on certain folders in KM, each document can be given a different lifetime. That's all fine, but...

is it possible to set a default interval on folder level which applies to all newly published documents?

For example : folder X default lifetime of all published documents is 1 year (from date published), which could manually be overriden in the details of the document(ie certain documents 0.5 year).

Hi Mark,

I'm afraid this is not in the standard at the moment. Only for the versioning service you can activate such an inheritance on subfolders and documents (from SPS14).

For your request you must implement a KM repository service.
