LO EXTRACTION

HI EVERYBODY,

I have read all the weblogs of Roberto regarding Lo Extraction and also the delta mechanism

After reading all that I came to an understanding how this works so I am detailing below AN EXAMPLE

LO EXTRACTION WITH QUEUED DELTA METHOD

AND THE DATA FLOW OF LO to BW

PLEASE KINDLY CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG IN THE SAME ORDER I HAVE GIVEN.

Eg:--SALES ORDER DOCUMENT (data from here is saved to

VBAK, VBAP, VBUK , etc ( these are application table and from here data is written to

MCVBAK, MCVBAP, MCVBUK, etc ( these are the LIS comm struc linked to extract structure.)

EXTRACT STRUCTURE ( Here we maintain the extract structure by inactivating it after maintaining

Is finished we activate it .)

NOW COMES TO DELTA MANAGEMENT

Here we can specify the update type in UPDATE MODE ( For example QUEUED DELTA) and when we

Specify the delta method the data from extract structure moves to

EXTRACTION QUEUE (LBWQ)

By using JOB CONTROL we do the collective update run immly r else can be scheduled for An after date to transfer data from EXTRACTION QUEUE TO DELTA QUEUE (RSA7)

DATA SOURCE. (Generate data source)

In BW we have to create a info package and in the update tab we give delta update (this is in assumption that already I have done delta initialization load before.)

I THINK THIS THE PROCESS OF EXTRACTING DATA FROM LO AND THIS IS HOW DATA FLOWS TO BW FROM DIFFERENT STAGES.

KINDLY CORRECT ME IN THE SAME SEQUENCE THANKS A LOT FOR ALL THE INPUTS

 • SPECIAL THANKS TO ROBERTO FOR BEING A VERY GOOD GUIDE.

THANKS AND REGARDS
