Can we remove inventory account for purchases and sales..SAP B1 9.0 ??

Hello experts,

I do not need inventory account(raw material account) for Sales and purchases of JE. I want to remove inventory account from SAP B1 as per requirement is it possible.

when i raised a delivery note and return ,i do not need JE, need only inventory affect, is it possible..?

    Hi,

    Better check with Finance manager or department to get assitance on removing above account.

    Please remove above accounts in TestDB and check the result. Sure you will get error message.

    • I believe you want to uncheck the Use Perpetual Inventory check box on the Basic Initialization tab of the Company Details window. Administration -> System Initialization -> Company Details.

      From SAP Business One Help

      Use Perpetual Inventory

      Select this option to indicate management of perpetual inventory accounting system. If selected, each transaction of inventory items is reflected also in the inventory related G/L accounts.

      Note

      After the first inventory transaction is posted, this option is disabled, and its status cannot be changed.

    Hi Shivananda,

    You may only reach your goal through non-perpetual inventory.
