Deep Link in EP

Hello,

I developed a WebDynPro application calling in an IView in EP. The IView is assigned to the navigation tree like Portal Content -> TestTree -> IView -> Application.

This application sends information to a POS system (using socket request); after performing the total scenario the focus should be set back to the EP.

Now, the idea is to send a URL request from the POS system back, so that the EP will appear in the foreground again (e.g. URL with deep link to navigate directly to the application assigned to the navigation tree).

Are there any possibilities to set the focus back to my application in EP? E.g. can I call a URL that is focusing my application?

Thank you for your help.

Best Regards,

Kurt.

    Hi Kurt,

you can deep link to iViews using NavigationTarget parameter in the URL. You can use the PCD path or the ROLE path.

    Example:

    http://<portalhost>/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/administrator/super_admin/super_admin_role/com.sap.portal.user_administration/com.sap.portal.role_assignment

    Kind regards

    Francisco

    Hello Francisco,

    thank you for your hint.

If I call the IView via the PCD link, the application will appear, but the navigation tree is not shown.

Is there a way to show also the navigation tree? Is there any overview about all parameters set by the URL (such as NavigationTarget)?

    Thanks & best Regards,

    Kurt.

    • Hi Kurt,

if you go down the navigation to the page you want to call later, choose "Add to browser favorites" from the page context menu; then edit the browser favorite's entry, and you should see the link which works for your needs. Or you can choose "Details" for the page to catch the corresponding PCD entry.

Anyhow, you must call a PCD link, which is part of a role you have. You can also call an iView beside a role, but then no navigation will be chosen.

On SP14, the link Francisco intended, would be

      http://.../irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/administrator/super_admin/super_admin_role/com.sap.portal.user_administration/com.sap.portal.user_admin_ws/com.sap.portal.role_assignment/com.sap.portal.roleAssignment

Calling this, the navigation will be highlighted, too.

      Hope it helps

      Detlev
