cobk and coep table archiving

I want to archive table coep and cobk but when i enter the tables name in DB15 i get lot of Archiving objects,

How to choose Archiving object now.. please help.

Use Archiving object CO_ITEM to archive CO line items from tables COBK and COEP, Run the report RARCCOA1 and then RARCCOA2 to analyze the data from this tables, run these reports in background so that the outcome of the report will diplay the Archiving object and its size.

CO_item object is very powerful object and capabale of archiving data from most of co tables and for almost all object types. By object types I mean WBS level/ Internal order level/Cost center level/etc.

Depedning on your landscape you need to choose the object in varinat configuartion.

However you will not be able to get lot of control in terms of configuation for CO_item

CO_order and PS_project also archives data from above tables but you get lot of data control in these object.

If you have Result analysis implemented on your landscape you need to be xtra cautions when deleting data from CO-item as input for RA is impacted by CO_item.

CO--item is follwed by Co-total for co data deletion.

CO items can be archived together with the origin object or independently of them.

If you archive them independent using CO_ITEM, then you cannot anymore easily jump from an archived Sales order to the related CO item.

You have to run the analysis as mentioned by Manjunath Ravi  and explained in Table COEP (SAP Library)

to know what from where your CO items are, and then you may need to the business to decide together if you want archive it together with e.g. the sales order SD_VBAK or independent using CO_ITEM.

Even better if you could do a test in QA system and could then show the business how you can access in those cases, this may help to make then the right decision
