Hi Sundralingam,
From your screen shot it is not clear that given date is order creation date or planned date of order.
I think these order have been generated through maintenance plan.
Please check which date you are reffering.
For Example - if you run two maintenance plan plan1 and plan 2 -
for plan 1 order generated with start date of Nov - 1001
For plan 2 order generated with start date of Oct - 1002

As per screen shot displayed by you, here it self you can check that Notifications & Orders are generated in sequential manner.
Refer below numbers generated from your screen:
Notification Order Date
10147505 4154954 02.11.2013
10147506 4154955 02.11.2013
10147507 4154956 16.11.2013
10147508 4154957 22.11.2013
You will find the miss match in notification & order sequence because, some times we create only order without notification or only notification without order.
Also remember, if number range is same or different notifications types or order types, in this case also we loose the sequence since other notifications/orders have been generated in between.

What I understood from discussion is , you want to say that the order no generated in OCT is greater than the no. generated in NOV . If this is your problem then please check no. range defined in you system for orders is internal or external . If its a external one then you can enter any unique no. from the range at any point of time.

I did not find anything regarding sequence no. in layout selection of order (IW38) or in notification (IW28)

When you look at the screen you can see that notification no is in sequences. But the work order is in diffrent date.
For and example work order create in November start with 4154951... whic is in sequence but in October the number is 4155695 which is incorrect because the work order for October should start with 4154951 instead of 4155695.
Hope this explain my justification
in the configuration Define notification types, check whether 'early number assignement' is check marked. If so number is assigned at the creation of notification and not while it is saved. This means if the transaction is originated but not saved, you will lose that number.
