Char - Number format

Hi All,

Is there a way to have char with number be shown as number format instead of text format in excel?

Every time workbook is refreshed, format get changed to "General / Text" for all numbers (not key figures).

Is there a reason why you want that?  As I would expect the InfoObject to be a "CHAR" and not a key figure.

Yes Info-Object is Char.

We need this, as we are using this data for lookup in excel. all V-loop fails, as format is not correct. we have work around but was wondering if there is direct way to get this in report output.

Hi Gaurav,

If BEx is your source, can you create a formula variable in your Query to convert that particular characteristic to a numeric?
