Hi,
Recently we have done DB upgrade 10g to 11g for 3 TB.It took 10 Hrs..
We faced many errors while doing DB upgrade.
So that I given the approximate time line.
Thank you

Hi,
We can do it..But it will take much time to compare upgrade.
Approximate time line:
Upgrade=8 hrs
System EXP/IMP=20hrs
So that you can choose DB upgrade method.
Thank you

Upgrade=8 hrs
System EXP/IMP=20hrs
Not sure, how you are assuming the execution time??
And in this case Database upgrade on source is not an only solution for target refresh.
You need not to perform both the activities (Upgrade+Exp/Imp) to achieve this.
Database upgrade won't take more than 2/3 hours if you follow standard recommendations.
@Rahul
Either/Or should work, solutions are as below:
1) Upgrade your database on source (will take less time than solution#2), Do a homogenous system copy using backup restore
2) Export source system and then import into target (Execution time will be high than solution#1)

Export/Import process will work for you here.
I strongly suggest you to upgrade your source system to 11G which is supported.
Oracle 10G is out of support.

Hi,
It is possible but not in system copy (Backup restore) method.You can do the system export and import method.
Thank you

Hi rahul
As the Oracle versions are different , you need to go for Heterogeneous System Copy method.
Simple backup restore will not work .
Thanks

And to give some more details , you need to use SAPINST to take export of your oracle 10G and then import into the system with Oracle 11G.
Other option is to upgrade your 10g to 11G and then do a homogenous system copy using backup restore method.
