    Hi Said,

Use the 'Promotion Management' tool in BI 4.1 to promote reports to QA to Prod.

I'm not too sure if this tool can change the datasource of the reports. So, I'm assuming you'll need to open each report once they're in Prod and change the datasource manually.

There used to be a tool in BO XI 3.1 called the 'Schedule Manager', however that is no longer available in BI 4.1.

    • Promotion Management cannot change the Datasource of Crystal reports unless they're based on a universe that has a connection that points to different data depending on the environment.

One other option would be to open each of the reports in Crystal, use Set Location to change the Datasource and then publish the report to Production.

A final option is to write code using either the .NET or the Java SDK to migrate the reports and change the connection at the same time. Let me know if you're interested in this - I may have some sample code.
