problem in deleting the materials from component tab.

Dear All,

I have attached a file for reference. Problem is some materials tagged in component tab of PM order, due to non stock need to be deleted. System allows to delete the material & save. But in actual it does not get deleted from the order. If i open the same order again to check the material which i deleted is still existing. Plz let me know what is the issue in this.

The same material in different order on same equipment gets deleted. May i know why this behavior, same material in different pm order is deleted & why not in particular pm order.

In addition to the above comments...

Are you using any developments in the order SAVE process?

If so, then deactivate these developments and test again to see if the developments are causing the issue.

Dear Sir,

If this is the case with developments done in save process of PM orders then this should happen to all orders. this is happening to some orders only. If we create same type of order in development client, with same user, it gets deleted from new order created.

Plz advice..

Hi Harish,

Just a guess: Did you try to change the quantity and then SAVE order. Later again go to order and try to delete that component, test this scenario once.

Also I can see the material unit is in editable mode i.e. EA whereas all others are non-editable as those are inherited from material. Best way is to debug this order, must be because of development done.

Hi,

Please check Display deletion is On or Off in the particular order.

menu-->Edit-->Display Deletions-->Off/On

Once after opening the order with components tab, check the menu Edit - Display Deletions - On / Off. It could be based on that.

Also, clarify whether you are using any developments in PM order on change of components, operations, etc., Are you considering any PM order statuses on that development??

What is the order status of both PM Orders??

Dear Sir,

It is in ON position as per attached screen below

In change of component we have validated as below.

1. user cannot change the qty below entered qty or delete the component but can add the qty. It is centralised to some IDs at HO.

2. user cannot put same material in same order but can change the qty to upper limit (cannot change from 3 to 2 but can change from 3 to 4+)

3. Recepient name in each row of component is mandatory.

4. order status is s REL  GMPS MANC PRC in both order.

In SAP Standard PM Order functionality, system will allow you to do any kind of modification (addition of qty, reduction of qty, addition of new component, deletion of existing).

So, its because of the development done only. I suspect point 1 & 2 for this.

Do the check again with details such as order type, users, components, etc.,
