ST5 for SOLMAN

Dear All,

I have to implement ST5 for our SOLMAN with current SP4.

I have downloaded all prerequisite packages and CTS Plugin.

CTS Plugin 200 implemented via SAINT.

Can you guide me further Thanks.

Hi Srinivas,

For upgrading your solution manager, use MOPZ to calcuate the stack.xml file and download all the files and move to EPS/in folder. Later, use SUM tool to upgrade to SP05 of solution manager.

As you have downloaded all the per-requisite software components for SP05 you can even use SPAM for upgrade, which needs manual checks on each software components prerequisite which is time taking process and most of us use SUM tool only for upgrading purpose.

As prakhar says why you are going for sp05 only go for latest-1 always,

Hi Srini,

I would rather suggest to upgrade to SP08 or SP10

mainly SP08 is more stable version than SP05 because there you will end up applying 1000s of SAP notes for bugs etc

SP10 as this is FP2 and will bring upon new features incase your customer is interested in solman than can plan for this

In addition, if you upgrade to SP05 first then to SP08/SP10 efforts will be more so better upgrade directly to SP08/SP10 as per your case

You mention ST5 implemented with current Sp04 ? mean SP05 upgraded? In solman ST component version is SAP solution manager version

if you download all the file using stack in MOPZ, use SUM and upgrade the sp05.

If SP05 stacked upgrade nas done, start system preparation and Basic configuration activities in solman_setup.

Thanks for the Information.

Present ST is 4 in our system.

Now we are planning to upgrade other systems in our landscape TMS,GRC,EWM .

So after upgrade finally i can do SOLMAN Upgrade, Because again doing system preperation and basic configuration may take time.
