CCM disappear under Start - Programs in BO server

Former Member

Hello,

After login to BO DEV server, I am not able to find the CCM, other tools under Start - Programs-SAP Business Intelligence-SAP BOBI platform4.

Only "online documentation" is appearing under SAP BOBI platform4 in start programs. Why this behavior and how to restore CCM and other tools.

Ideally CCM, CMC page, BI Lauch pad , Upgrade management tool, 32 bit...will appear under start programs.

Does any thing un usual happened to existing BI 4.1 installation or why these options are not coming. I guess SAP plug in was installed a week ago, and after that we are facing this issue. Even SAP authentication also not appearing under Authentication tab.

Please help me on this.

Thanks in advance.

JK

Hi JK,

this is not unusual behaviour.it might have deleted/removed from programs, still you can bring back those by following aravinds suggestion.

Sap authetication plugin will be coming with default instalation.you can also find the list of available login plugins in cmc..>authetications.

Hi Prasad, Aravind and Shafi,

Thanks for all your responses.

As Aravind suggested, yes Svcmgr.exe is available in the above folder. I will copy and try with that option.

The server has complete BO installation.

Since SAP authentication not appearing under Authentication. Also part of CTS integration, team installed SAP plug in.

Now we thought of to modify the installation by checking the SAP checkmark if that didn't chosed.

based on 1880108 SAP note. I will update the status tomorrow.

Thanks,

JK

Hi JK,

Does the server in which you've logged in has complete installation of BO on it or just the web-tier? If its web-tier, then that's expected.

Why did you had to install SAP plugin separately when 4.1 has SAP plugin in-built?

Regards,

Shafi

Are you able to see the options available in installation directory of BO. Look into "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\SvcMgr.exe"folder.

If yes, copy the same and add them manually to your start up in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\SAP Business Intelligence. (you would need to create SAP Business Intelligence folder if it is not available)

Perform this actvity for all other server client tools as well.

All the best.
