Product Missing Maintenance Optimizer

Hi,

  i am trying download stack for my BW Dev system through solution manager. We are running with Solution Manager 7.1.

  my BW system is missing production version.

  any advise please.

Hi Sunil,

You can create a solution as follows:

1. Go to transaction solman_workcenter and then go to solution manager administration tab.

2.Select solutions and create a solution there.

3.You will also need to assign a logical componenet to this soultion.

4.To do this go to Tx. smsy and there under system groups and logical components, right click and create a logical component.(Note this is valid for SM 7.1 SP09 and below).

5.For SP10 you can create logical components directly in LMDB.

6.Once you have created a logical component you can add it to a solution through smsy under solution landscapes (for SP09 and below) or directly through solution manager administration tab under solutions.

7.Now you will be able to work properly with Mopz.

In solution manager 7.1 SP10 you can directly add logical components in solutions.

Hi Sunil,

Go to LMDB and check the production version assignment, if it is empty add it and check in the managed system setup step:1 and re execute the mopz.

Hi Sunil,

Go to se38 -> execute the report (RLMDB_SYNC_TECHNICAL_SYSTEM) and select the BW system, SLD and last option( delete thedetail before syn).

Then go to LMDB and add the SAP Netwear product version for BW system ( dont add any other product version like sap ERP or EHP4....) and create the new MOPZ and try it.it will solve the issue

Hi Kaarthik,

   after doing all the suggested activity i noticed that my system need to be assigned any 'SOLUTION' category. as when i click on no selection my system shows.

Please advise how to add this system to 'SOLUTION' category.

Hi Sunil

Solution is the entity created in solution manager

kindly access solman_workcenter transaction and click on Solution Manager administration workcenter

here either access any existing solution or create a new solution

add logical component for your system landscape

also check below blog

Hi Sunil,

For MOPZ not required to create solution, just select the product version* it will show the SID ( if u assigned the product version correctly).Product version selection is mandatory, then click continue and start the MOPZ and generate the stack xml.

Hi Sunil,

Can you see your system BW system in SMSY  Tx under landscape component 'product system'.

If it is there check which product version it is assigned?

Ask your solution manager expert to :

1.check the manged system configuration. See whether this system is assigned a product version or not. If not then goto landscape verification tool and assign a product version to this system.

2.Create a logical system which represents your BW system and assign it to a solution landscape.

3.Now you should see your system in maintenance optimizer.
