Create and Change a sales order using ORDERS05

Hi Experts,

I am new to IDOCs. Can you please share an example for the following 2 scenaios:

1. Create a sales order wherein data is coming from an IDOC using BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2

2. Change an existing sales order (data from IDOC) using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE

Please tell me what are the minimum fields that needs to filled in while using above 2 BAPIs and from which ORDERS05 segments can I get that respective data that needs to be passed to these BAPIs.

Thanks In Advance,

Megha Gupta

    Hi Megha,

I am not understanding why you want to use the BAPI's, instead of process code FM's.

Aaways, you are getting the IDOC data, then you want to create the sales orders. Better to use the process codes ( txn: WE42)

ORDC ORDCHG Change sales order FM : IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS

ORDE ORDERS Create sales order FM : IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS

Note: Minimum fields required for BAPI...is filling the mandatory fields of VA01 transaction. Check with your functional consultant!

Do let me know if you are handling in special kind of process to create the incoming IDOCS!

    Happy New Year

    Rg, Kiran
