Dear Team,
In my client one department is having shift schedule 9-18 in which 13-16 is paid break,as per process CL can be applied full day and half day as well, half day is devided into first half and second half which is 9-13 and 16-18 ,as per current system if employee applied for first half quota deduction is .5 day and if he select second half syatem is deducting .25 day,as per my client requirement if he select 16-18 e.i. second half then quota deduction should be .5 days, please guide me to map this scenario and this shift schedule is specific for one department only.please guide me to map both the scenario.
Regards,
Priyanka
Hi Priyanka,
Try to book CL from 13:00 - 18:00 and let me know the deduction value ?

Dear Srikanth,
It is deducting .25 because break is paid, this scenario cant be capture through rounding rule because same leave type is also applicable for 2 hour as well in this case quota deduction will be .25 the issue is in one department only for which work schedule is 9-18 in which break is 13-16,(Second half is 16-18) if we applied rounding rule then for other employee's 2 hour leave will be decuting .5 quota, which will be wrong.

Priyanka
Hi HCM Consultant,
You should work on TIP table during the PCRs and compare start and end of absence to realize how much system should deduct the quota. Then keep the amount and at the end time evaluation period deduct from relevant quota.
By the way, I think the issue is understanding break time. You would spot the break time and reduce quota based on absence duration(start and end). If this is the case also you can work on break time to deduct the exact time employee has left. For this issue you should understand if s/he has had break or not. If employees clock-in/out for break you can realize it.

Omid
Hi Priyanka,
Create 2 rounding rule's
1) for 1st half (0.5 days)
2) for 2nd half (0.25 days)
And assign it Counting rules & configure it accordingly..
