Mobile Device Management via Afaria

Hi All,

I am learning Afaria as a Mobile Device Management tool for Managing the devices with syclo Applications and I want to understand few points -

1. What do we mean by Single sign on suport - Is it that administrator can login in the device and get access to the device as well as application ?

2. Afaria supports real time dashboards, password protection / reset of password and Prevention of data loss . How ?

Please clarify . I read the documents which were way too high level ,I would really appreciate If I can get some examples or a one liner which can elaborate it in a better way.

Thanks in advance

Thanks and Regards

    Hello Neha,

Single Sign On is a new feature in iOs 7.x. This feature allows Afaria administrator to use config payload for applications that requires Authentication. So in this case Afaria administrator will need to add your application Bundle ID in the configuration. Your application once deployed via Afaria will load and the Authentication of the app will be handled by iOS using configu payload. Multiple Apps bundled id's can be added to take advantage of this feature.

As far as password question, Afaria allows an administrator to send security commands for locking or unlocking iOS devices, clearing forgotten passcodes, removing Afaria mobile device management (MDM) control, or wiping iOS devices.
