Change sender in RSWUWFML2

Hi all,

We are getting mail notifications from the scheduled program RSWUWFML2. I understand that the sender of the mail will be the person who has scheduled this program. But we have a particular requirement that the sender of the mail should change everytime, dependent on another field. Is it possible? Please suggest.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ais,

Yes, its possible and we did it ins several projects. You need to copy the RSWUWFML2 and create your custom report suppose ZRSWUWFML2. In copied version put your logic to populate the sender id. You will get a perform send_mail , there you need to do changes. Then schedule this Z- Program with same variant by which you are currently executing RSWUWFML2.

😊 You can customize any thing according to your requirement in your Z- Program.

    Cheers,

    Prakash

    Hi,

If Sending person only one means you can schedule with that user id.

Basically this is the background job.(Dynamical sender i don't think so)But we can check some work around.

You can not dynamically schedule with different user as a sender.Instead inside your mail content or Subject of that mail , You can mention the Request created person name.

    Hi Aiswarya

The simplest of all solution would be to do an implict enhancement at the begining of the subroutine GET_EMAIL_ADDRESS and replace value of P_UNAME with your dynamic user.

But make sure that for this user, there is an email ID maintained in SU01.

    Hello,

RSWUWFML2 is obsolete. You should use Extended Notifications, you can set a general Sender there (in General Settings, SENDER_ADDR_INT) so it won't show up as the user running the underlying job.
