Conditions with combination of characteristics

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help out. I'm are having a problem setting up a query condition. I have a query set up as:

Char1 Char2 Char3 KF

We have a condition set up on the KF to only pull back values that are greater than a variable value. When I set up the condition I select "single characteristics or combinations of characteristics". This works correctly until I remove one of the characteristics from the drilldown. Is there anyway to be able to set this up so that when I remove drilldowns, the condition will be still be in effect. I tried using the "all characteristics in the drilldown independently" but we are looking to apply the condition to the combination of the characteristics rather than the characteristics independently.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

~Matt

    Hi Matt,

If you are looking to apply the condition to the combination of the characteristics, then it seems fair that the condition should not work when a char is removed from the drilldown. If the removal of the char is needed for analysis, then you can try to create another condition for the remaining combination of chars.

    Hope this helps...

      Hi Bhanu,

Unfortunately we tried that and it didn't seem to work. It would return values that met the condition on the independent characteristics rather than the combination of them.

Thanks Bhanu and Ashish for your help, but I think this is a lost cause and we'll have to try the work around that Ashish suggested.
