How to make prompt optional at universe level

Hi All,

I need to make Prompt optional at universe level, i have used the @ prompt as

ADS_EVENT.OBJECT_FOLDER_PATH LIKE @Prompt('Enter a folder path (use % for all)','A','Events\Object Folder Path',Mono,Free,Persistent,{'%'})

The above syntax makes prompt mandatory, But i need optional prompt that should come from universe level.

Suggestions are highly appreciated,

Thanks and Happy new year in advance.

    Hi Raveesh,

Well for now we don't have any parameter to make @prompt syntax optional.

Have a look to this link:-

    https://ideas.sap.com/ct/ct_a_view_idea.bix?c=E445BDF0-DEF5-4D6A-8A1D-519A4D301682&idea_id=696BA5A9-ED01-49B4-AE4E-C3FEC8635B52

But there is a way in BI4.0 to make prompt optional in IDT.

    Check this blog:-

    Thanks,

    Vivek

    Hi,

You can implement Optional prompt in IDT, PFA Screenshot.

Filters---> Select Filter --->Edit Filter ----> Edit Prompt --> Optional box Check box.
