Does we required to captured the replication of standard datasource in TR ?.

Hi to all,

Does we required to captured the replication of standard datasource in Transport request in SAP 7.3 with SP 7.

If yes, then we dont required to replicae data souce in production , we just move the replication TR in production, is this correct.

please share some light on above issue.

    Hi Pavneet,

I do not think we will capture replication of data in transport reuest but we will capture data source in transport request..It is must we should replicate metadata before move the dataflow(transformation, infoprovider dtpc etc..) to QA and production.

Replication of meta data is must in QA production manually.

    • Hi Pavneet,

As you said it is asking task for this request and its in temp package...If you want to move this datasource then remove from temp and collect in your new transport request and please note you are changing datasource thats why it is asking request.genrally for standard datasource you can followthe steps as below

      R/3 development

      1)Collect datasource in request

      BI development

      1)collect datasource in separate request

      2)right click nad replicate metadata

3)collect dataflow in separate transport(DSO,transformation etc)

Move R/3 request to QA r/3

move datasource request from DEV BI to QA BI

      replicate metadata

move dataflow request BI dev to BIQA.

Note - replication of metadata should be manual process in all BI system dev,qa,production.

    Hi,

Replication we can't capture into TR. replication need to to be done by manual.

Just skip that TR and replicate in dialog mode.

As you said there is TR1 which was captured your data source, you can delete that TR1 and recollect your data source into new TR.

Other wise you can release TR1(old) and import into target system.

Again collect your data source into new TR and import to target system. While import time use overwrite option.

    Thanks.
