Java Development Environment

I'm going to start doing development in java. Does SAP have their own java development environment? If so, where can I find the download? Or should I use Eclipse?

SAP does offer their own IDE, called NetWeaver Developer Studio. NWDS has plugins for SAP development (portal, j2ee, web dynpro). You can find the download at > Search for Installations and Upgrades > "Developer Studio".

I think there is a demo of it somewhere on SDN if you dont have service marketpace id.

Also, it's built on top of eclipse.

    Hope this helps,
