FPM Webdynpro configuration error - Service can not be reached

Hi All,

We are using the standard Webdynpro Component as part of FPM configuration, we are trying to display the application configuration (/SAPTRX/EM_FPM_UI) of standard webdynpro component FPM_OVP_COMPONENT, but we are getting the error as "Service can not be reached" when we clicked on start configurator or display configuration buttons.

Please let me Whether any service or setting that has to be activated in order to view the configuration of application /SAPTRX/EM_FPM_UI which was part of standard webdynpro component FPM_OVP_COMPONENT.

Hi Sudhan,

You need to activate the service  using tcode SICF.

Please follow the below steps

• Open t-code SICF
• Give the service name as below and click on execute button

    

• Right click on your service name and activate the service from the menu

Hi Rama,

I just had check the service which was already in active state.

1. Please let me know how to see the configuration of application for /saptrx/em_fpm_ui of standard webdynpro component FPM_OVP_COMPONENT.

2. Basically i have requirement to incorporate new webdynpro view in the standard webdynpro component /SAPTRX/EM_FPM_UI to display table UI element for populating shipment data (EM data). Also, I would need to write some business logic in webdynpro component to populate the shipment data in table UI which is going to be added in new webdynpro view.

Please let me know how to incorporate the changes for defining new webdynpro view and its related to business logic in FPM based standard component, i.e for FPM_OVP_COMPONENT.

I am looking for more details to achieve this solution. thats the reason i was trying to look the webdynpro configuration of standard application thru the display configuration button as I mentioned in the above screenshots in my above post, but i could not see the configuration details, Instead i am getting the error as "Service can not be reached".

Hi Sudhan,

There are other set of services need to be in active state.

Please refer the note 517484 - Inactive services in the Internet Communication Framework
