Dear sir,
We have crated the Public holiday calendar valid 2012 to 2017
Now in new year 2014 some of the holiday is not applicable to
Some calendar i.e. Mahashivratri on 27th Feb-2014 but the same is
Not applicable for one location but the same is applicable for other location.
Due to validity from 2012 to 2017 we are unable to remove the above holiday
Form one calendar.
So pl suggest how we can change the valid from to year ..
Regards,
Santosh Badjate
The Public Holiday Calendar can be valid from 2012 to 2017 but have some Public Holidays that are used only from 2012 to 2014, or only in 2014.
When a "standard" Public Holiday does not suit your needs, you can create a Custom Public Holiday with variable dates.
You can also have custom variants for a "standard" Public Holiday, such as
ZJ01 - January 1st, always moved to the previous work day
ZJ02 - January 1st, moved to the previous/next day
ZJ03 - January 1st, always moved to the next work day
and use them in your Calendars but only for limited years (ZJ01 from 2012 to 2013, ZJ02 in 2014, and ZJ03 from 2015 to 2017)

Hi Santosh ji,
Let me express my understanding about your requirement below (If I am wrong, please explain your requirement in a better way):
Employee-1: Per.Sub.Area = MUMBAI, Emp.Sub.Grp = MANAGER
Employee-2: Per.Sub.Area = PUNE, Emp.Sub.Grp = MANAGER
But for both the locations Mumbai & Pune Holiday Calender is same, Let us say: MH (Maharashtra).
As per your requirement Mumbai employees have holiday on Mahashivaratri and PUNE employees don't.
If my understanding is correct about your requirement, below solution can resolve your issue:
Copy the existing Workschedule Rule for respective PSA, ESG groupings & Holiday Calendar.
For example: till now you are using workschedule rule GENERAL for both MUMBAI & PUNE Employees, suggest you to Copy it to GENPUNE.
While generating Workschedules from PT01:
First delete the assignment between Mahashivaratri & MH and generate it for GENPUNE
Second reassign Mahashivaratri & MH and generate it for GENERAL
Work Schedule rule for Employee-2 (PUNE) Employees in Infotype-7 = GENPUNE
Work Schedule rule for Employee-1 (MUMBAI) Employees in Infotype-7 = GENERAL
Note: As Mr.MIthun suggested be cautions about periods while generating Work schedules, so that it can not change the past work schedules.
All the best,
Srikanth Naidu. Akula

Hi Santhosh,
I hope there could be only one id for a calendar for e.g. if calendar IN exist from 2012 to 2017 then you cannot create another calendar with same id IN with different validity period.
I suggest you you that end of each calendar year there will some additions/removal of public holidays where you need to change the calendar and then transport the same from one client to another.
Hope this solves the issue.

Hi Santosh,
Basically Holiday Calendar is created based on Personnel area level (like applicable for one location and not applicable for another location). In the above case two grouping for personnel areas, and based on that create two holiday calendar. In one holiday calendar give 27 Feb 14 as holiday through floating holiday and assign to holiday calendar and in another holiday calendar don't give 27 Feb 14.
Try this

Hi Santhosh,
Anyways you will be generating work schedule for each year where it will refer to the valid calendar and the work schedule will be generated.

Hope this solves the issue.
