Vendor classification:Class

Hi,

using Cl02 I have created 3 classes.

Approved,Competent,Trail.

In Approved class I have 5 characteristc and Competent class has  4  characteristc.

when select class competent in vendor classiification (xk02),it is showing 5 characteristc,but i have only 4 characteristc for this.

Can somebody throw light on this issue,please?

Go to your classification in vendor master, then select from menu Extras > User settings

in the first tab remove the tick from "with inherited characteristics"

and save.

From now on you will see the characteristics only class wise

However,For Maximum PO value I entered different values for each class,but it is showing the same value for both class.why it is showing the same value?Can you please guide me?

I cannot tell if it is an error or just designed behavior.

But if one characteristic is used in 2 classes that are both used in the classification of one object, then SAP displays this characteristic just once.

which seems to be logical to me, as you create a classification for an object, and not a classification per class for an object.

If you want different values, then you should create individual characteristics

one for

Maximum PO value approved

and a second for

Maximum PO value competent
