Activation of Profit center characteristic in New GL

Dear Experts,

We have New GL activated with business area as mandatory and profit center as non - mandatory characteristics in the system. Now, we wish to make the profit center also as mandatory charateristics. We have many blank records in FAGLFLEXA & FAGLFLEXT for profit center

Do we will need the New GL migration for this? If yes then which migration scenario support this case?
