Static IP for HANA Trial cloud.

Hi Team,

Does hanatrial have a static IP support that can be used in the cloud connector or while connecting from HANA Studio.

Hi Avishek,

No, you connect by specifying your account name. Note that there is even no guarantee that after restart your app will be running on the same compute unit (VM).

Thanks Vladimir, as of now our security team is insisting on an IP to open connectivity to trail HANA cloud. Let us see what can be done further.

Actually, you don't have to open anything on your side - the SSL tunnel is open from your backend to the cloud and works via a reverse-invoke approach.

Hi Vladimir,

Even I was hoping to get the connectivity working with the proxy entries, however there seems to be some issue with our corporate proxy in accepting basic authentication hence cannot connect from either Eclipse, the SAP HANA Cloud Platform SDK or even the cloud connector. Hence needed a static IP to request some proxy configuration.

Well, if you go e.g. to DNS Lookup for hanatrial.ondemand.com, you will find out the IP: 155.56.219.22. However - although no particular reason to change at the moment - there is also no promise that it will remain the same. So feel free to try it with this disclaimer.
