Exporting image from dashboard

Hie Guys,

I have an existing dashboard that is created from a Photoshop image. I do not have access to the original Photoshop image. Basically, it is a landing page that provides links to all the Webi Reports in Prod. I have provided the snapshot of the Dashboard below. I need to export those 6 images in the dashboard separately to be used in a presentation.  Is there a way I can do this? The Business Objects Version is - business objects 4.0 service pack 7 patch 2 and I'm using Office 2007. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Jeevan,

I am not sure if i got your question correct, but if the image is on an image component you can retrieve it. You convert the xlf extension to zip(make sure you have a backup), then if you open the zip folders, you will be able to see the images that are used, and copy them.

I use this trick to change version of .xlf file so that we can use new version dashboard file in older version.

Hi Jeevan,

Change the xlf extension to zip , unzip it .Inside it you will find a folder, all the images used in that dashboard will be available there.

There is no way I am aware of t export any image embedded from a dashboard. Your best bet here is to do screen capture of the dashboard and be a little creative in paint to get the individual pictures. The images obviously will not be very good quality but it might work for your presentation..

Should i export the dashboard in "Powerpoint" or "Word" and then use it in paint to get a better quality image?

You can export to ppt which should work as well if you want to showcase the dashboard functions as well in your presentation..
