Is WM a mandatory to scan and capture batch data using barcode scanner

Hi,

We want to use barcode scanner to scan barcode label and get the data in SAP report. It is a must to have WM to be able to scan a barcode and read data from it.

Thanks in advance.

You need to do activate RFID process for your WM

    Please refer below help

Warehouse Management RFID - ERP Operations - SCN Wiki

In the LRFMD transaction you need to include the list of users who can use RF guns to receipt /issue the stock at warehouse level.Based on your configuration /design users can able to scan the labels.

    Hi,

As of my knowledge, WM is NOT MUST for SAP ME bar code scanning functionality. Please check the wiki document: http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/download/attachments/287736105/SAP+ME+How-To-Guide+-+Barcode+Scanning.pdf?original_fqdn=wik…

    No

WM is not required to use bar code reading.

But you probably need to create a ABAP code to process this data and use it in some batch imput..

But without any information about what you want to do with the bar code data it is really impossible to guess if there any standard function to help you or your solution should be totally Z.
