Hi

Can someone tell me how  I can flip/rotate a text component  in Dashboard from the original position to 90 degree rotation like in the image below? Or is there any other component in dashboard that would allow me to achieve this? Thanks in advance

It is not possible with existing components. May be you can try to find some add-on.

One more question guys: With a map such as USA map, how can one display the name of the keys , which is the name of states?

If you need to show the region names, you need to keep the keys same as the names. The component always shows the region keys during mouse hover.

You can check this trick using image and icons:

You can also check this add-on to edit and display region names:

I need to show the names by default without having to mouseover. I will look into this and see if it can help me to achieve what I 'm looking for . Thanks so much.

to show the text directly

go to the appearance tab under "appearance" tab go to "text" tab go to "data lable" check the data label check box.

you will get the property to align  and set the font.

under that you get three check boxes. value check box is default checked.

you get  another two check box one is category and other is percentage show value.

hope I explain properly.

Hi Jean,

As Arijit says it is not possible with existing components. but if you want to show same with existing component you can show your text like this.

T

E

S

T.

write T in excel cell and press Alt+Enter.

eg. T Alt+Enter E Alt+Enter S Alt+Enter T Alt+Enter..

check if it works for you..

Thank You.

Thanks so much both of you.  Abhijit, thank you for this alternative solution . It seems to work with the word TEST, but with other words, it works as well , but it doesn't not look so great.  I will try to use an image and see if it gives me what I'm looking for.
