PO 7.31 system down after upgrading few Java SCs

Dear All,

Installed PO 7.31 system and as per the note: 1548120, upgraded the minimum recommended Java SCs mentioned in the note to SP level 8. System was running fine. Recently thought of upgrading the entire Java SCs to the SP level 08 and started with the SCs: BASETABLES & AJAXRUNTIME. After these SCs were upgraded to level 8, system was not working and the following error occured:

Error: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.sap.security.core.server.csi.XSSEncoder.writeEncodedHTML(Ljava/io/Writer;Ljava/lang/String;)V

           at com.sap.tc.ls.renderer.base.AbstractRenderer.writeXmlEscaped(AbstractRenderer.java:1266)

           at com.sap.tc.ls.renderer.base.AbstractRenderer.writeXmlEscaped(AbstractRenderer.java:1145)

Checked the link: and followed note: 1703029. Upgraded ENGINEAPI 7.31 to SP level 08 and then entire PO system was down.

From the MMC console, I could see that the system was up & running in green. But the application is not coming up i.e., PO tools page is not opening up. Upgrading the SCs to SP level 10 is also not helping as it was throwing an error in JSPM.

Could some one pls help me in bringing up the PO system.

Hello Saiganesh,

Firstly, make sure all components are on the same SP release. This is mandatory for a PO/PI system.

Next, I would recommend that you deploy the latest patches for all the Java components for your current SP release (SP10, I think?). Check note 1746599 The difference between a PI Support Pack and a Patch, in case of any confusion.

Thanks for the reply. Issue got resolved earlier after upgrading the SC's to the same level. i.e., issue solved thru snote: 1794179.
