Admin Console and Excel not working together

I am having issues running the Admin Console. If I want to maintain the account dimension. If I already have Excel open and can't always access the dimension, sometimes I can but mostly I can't. Once I get into this loop I have exited out of Admin Console and excel, even Ctl-alt-Del and cancelled instances of Excel that are running Excel.EXE *32. Then if I restart the Admin, I still can't access the Account dimension. This has happened since we upgraded to V10.

    Hi Ann,

maybe there are hidden links in dimension xls, I would recreate from scratch the account dimension xls file substituting the existent (you can rename the old file but please don't forget to recreate all the sheets).

After fully process the dim and see if it's ok.

    Regards

Yes, we have the same issue with v10 MS... however this only occurs if we have the EPM Excel Addin running at the same time, so for now, our workaround is to just close out of All Excel just to be safe, and then the Maintain Members never locks up.

      Good Luck on v10... !

    Hi Ann,

Often, the reason is that Account.xls stays open but hidden in the Excel interface. Try unhiding and closing it; then you should be able to maintain your dimension.
