DataServices 4.0 : ODBC data source <Database> warning message for operation <bulkExecSQL>: <>, SQLState <>

Hello,

I use DataServices 4.0 version 14.1.1.210 to load data in an MS-SQL Server2012 database.

I meet a problem with a workflow.

This workflow is composed of single script and single dataflow.

I have a script where I record a date variable: $v_date_suppression=today - 10days and I delete all records which are date of mouvement >=$v_date_suppression.

Next, I have a simple dataflow: single source table, query, target table. In the Bulk Loader Options tab of the target table, I select Bulk Load options:

I get a warning message:

ODBC data source <Database> warning message for operation <bulkExecSQL>: <>, SQLState <>

What's the issue ? What's the solution ?

Thanks in advance to your help.

Carole

Sorry, my screenshot does not appear.

    Bulk Loader Options are:

    - The Bulk load is checked

    - Rows per sommit: 1000

    - Maximum rejects:

    - Network Packet Size(Kb): 4

      Hello Carole,

Are you using the “$v_date_suppression” anywhere in your dataflow (query transform)?

If you are not using that variable then try running the dataflow without script and use Mode = ‘truncate’ in ‘Bulk Loader Option’ for target table.

If you want to delete the number of records from target table which are below that ‘suppression date’ then you will have to use Map_Operation transform with normal= delete and target table without bulkload option enabled.

      Hope this helps.

      Regards,

      Ashwin

    Hello,

I have the same issue with an other simple dataflow: one source, one query, one target.

The source data have more 3.000.000 rows.

So, in target, Bulck Loader options is checked to truncate.

For information, I use an user other than sqlserver user 'sa' to run dataservices jobs.

I got the same warning message:

ODBC data source <Database> warning message for operation <bulkExecSQL>: <>, SQLState <>

If the check of Bulck Loader options isn't actived, and data are truncate before the loading.

I haven't the warning message, but the data integration take more time.

How load a lot of data quickly and without the warning message ?

When I use the 'sa' user to run dataservices jobs with the Bulck Loader options, all is OK.

Maybe the user to run dataservices jobs haven't all rights ?

So, this user needs what rights ?

    Have you ideas?

Thanks in advance to your help.
