Hi All,
I have checked few threads but not able to get a complete clarity. Will be of great help if any one of you can help me out to get a solution.
Currently 2 locations are grouped to the same holiday calendar. Below is an example,
PA | PSA | Holiday Calendar |
---|---|---|
TN | 01 | CORP |
CH | 01 | CORP |
Effective from 2014, for PA PSA CH 01 there are holidays given which are different from the holidays of the PA PSA TN 01. If we create a new holiday calendar for any of the PA PSA and change the grouping and when we generate the work schedule effective 2014 then work schedule till Dec 2013 will be deleted. So if we copy the complete calendar to the new calendar and update the holidays of 2014 accordingly and generate the work schedule from year, say 2012 then the time evaluation will go for retro. So can you please help me to figure out how we can configure this? Is there any other method for doing this?
Please let me know if you need any other info.
Thank you,
Karthik
Hi Karthik,
If the Holiday calendar is different, then create IT0007 from 01.01.2014 with new workschedule as generated for year 2014. Previous record will have older workschedule with holidays for 2013 and current will have 2014 holidays. Hope this works.
Thanks

Hi All,
Thanks for sharing your ideas. We have figured it out.
We created the new calendar for one PA PSA effective 2013 and copied the same holidays for 2013. So this keeps the 2013 holidays unchanged for both PA PSA. For 2014 we changed the holidays as needed. During the workschedule generation for the new calendar we generated the work schedule effective Jan 2013. By doing this the work schedule for 2013 remains unchanged and it DID NOT trigger retro.
Thank you.
Hi Karthik,
I believe it has got nothing to do with change in PSG grouping or so .
You must have created new Holiday calendar for PA PSA CH 01 from 2014 onwards and that has got obviously different Holidays from PA PSA TN 01.
Now only u have to do is to assign new holiday calendar to your PSA in table v_001p_m effective from 2014 (your client's default start date) and for this you need to delimit the previous Holiday calendar till end date of 2013.
Hope its worth try again and test.

Priya

Hi Praneeth/Priya,
In node "Define Groupings for the Public Holiday Calendar" we cannot delimit the existing entries as it does not have any date ranges. As far as I know replacing the holiday calendar is the only option. Please do let me know if we can do the same in V_001P_M.
In the node "Set Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules" I did the same, copied the old entry and used the same groupings and just replaced the holiday calendar with effective date as 01.01.2014. With this once I generate the work schedule and view it in 0007, I'm not able to see work schedules prior to Jan 2014.
Thank you.
Hi Karthik,
Table V_001P_M , u please assign new Holiday calendar for your PSA and yes no delimit option(sorry to mention that in previous post) !
See, you have created holiday calendar effective from start date 2014 so work schedule in IT 7 for 2014 would be in syn.
Hence to make all holidays reflect in IT 0007, you need to generate work schedule for new Holiday calendar and that time work system will pick this from V_001P_M table.
As of now , already work schedule till end 2013 would have been generated and your previous holidays would be reflecting..
I am not sure , you are geting me correctly or not and what I can see , is all game of dates and generation of workschedule with respect of Holiday calendar.\
I have worked on such scenarios as every year Holiday calendar gets changed & so instead of creating new , I do modify the existing HC.

Priya
Hi Karthik,
If you want to generate ws from 1900 to 2014(for example), so the updated public holiday's 'valid from' in new calendar must be 2014(keep work schedule as before 2014 unchanged).
If you want to generate 2014's ws only, so please reference praneeth's comment.(use pt01 to generate 012014's ws only).
Thanks.

Hi Bo Yu,
I don't want to generate from 1900. My requirement is to generate for the year 2014 but with the new holiday calendar. The PA PSA had one holiday calendar till 2013 (Ex: CORP) and from 2014 its different (Ex: UNIO). Now the work schedule in 0007 till Dec 2013 should have the holiday calendar CORP and from Jan 2014 it should have UNIO. Please let me know how this can be achieved.
Thank you.
Hi,
Create new holiday calendar from 01.01.2014 on wards
Generate the work schedule from 012014 on wards for the specific PA & PSA, it wont change the previous months.
Test it in the testing server first after that in production.

Hi,
you created new calender right ? and assigned to your PA PSA in the table V_001P_M
if you assigned old calender old entries you can see but from 012014 on wards you cant see. from 012014 on wards change the calender assignment to your PA PSA in the node Define Grouping for Public Holiday Calendar (v_001p_m)
just try this also copy your present PA PSA with old holiday calender and copy it and date from 01.01.2014 to 31.12.9999 with New Holiday calender save it in the node Set Work Schedules Rules and Work Schedules (v_t508a)
and generate work schedule

praneeth kumar
