variance in production.

hi,

I have created a production order for an item which is FIFO managed.

while i was creating production order i mistakenly planned quantity as 1 in header and and later changed plan quantity of raw material (line level) to 3

.There is one to one relation of my fg and rm.then i issued 3 quantity and receipt quantity as 1 then 2.This created a variance then i change planned quantity header to 3.But still variance is coming. How to solve this variance.

Regards

Khagesh

    Hi,

Total variance is calculated based on cost and quantity. If any difference in cost, the total variance field will be updated.

Total variance = Actual product cost - Actual component cost

Note : The field is updated on production completion.
