Top edge alignment issue with generated PDF using crystal report 2008 and Java

Hi ,

We have designed rpt file using CR 2008 and generating report in PDF file format using Java Code.

We are facing issue with top edge alignment i.e. top of 2nd page is moved a bit upside 1.5 mm compare to 1st page.

For example say in first page static heading is starting 2mm from top edge, in 2nd page same static heading move slightly upside i.e. starting at 0.5 mm from top edge. Top edge alignment from 2nd page onward is correct.

Issue is only with alignment of top edge of 1st and 2nd page. Please suggest what property we need to adjust to ensure alignment would remain same at edges(top, bottom, left and right)

Thanks & Regards,

Ravinder Singh Kadian

    Hi All,

I am able to resolve alignment issue by checking "Keep together" property in "Section Expert -> Details" of the given rpt file.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi

Only difference from first page to 2nd page is Report Heading. Report heading will print only in first page and 2nd onwards your Page heading will get printer from top.

--Check Report Heading is enabled, if so, try to suppress it.

--Do you have more than one page headings and are suppressed with an condition ?

--Try to suppress page heading also and check 1 st & 2nd pages top margin.

    Thanks,

    Sastry

Thanks Sastry for your feedback. I have checked report and page header are suppressed. In report template we are using only Details section, report and page header part is not used.

      Thanks & Regards,

What happens when you export the report to PDF from the CR Designer?
